Top Workplace Consecutive Years
The Haven is proud to share that it has been recognized as a Top Workplace in Salt Lake City for both 2024 and 2025, an honor presented by the Salt Lake Tribune. What makes this recognition so meaningful is that it is based entirely on the voices of our employees, who were surveyed by a third-party company specializing in workplace culture and employee engagement. At least 80 percent of our staff participate in these surveys, providing honest and confidential feedback about their experience, which is then carefully analyzed to determine if an organization truly stands out as a supportive, healthy, and inspiring place to work. This rigorous process ensures that the award is not simply a title, but a genuine reflection of the commitment and dedication of our team members, as well as the values and culture we strive to uphold every day. For The Haven, being named a Top Workplace two years in a row validates the effort we have put into creating an environment where staff feel respected, valued, and motivated, which in turn allows us to better serve our clients and community.

In Salt Lake City, from 2018 to the present, The Haven has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Behavioral Health Care and Human Services Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.
The Haven underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review in 2018, 2020, and 2023. During the visit’s, a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with The Havens program standards spanning several areas including emergency management, environment of care, infection prevention and control, leadership, medication management, and rights and responsibilities of the individuals served.
The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help health care organizations measure, assess, and improve performance. The surveyors also conducted onsite observations and interviews.
Utah Nonprofits Association
In 2018 The Haven earned the Utah Nonprofit Organizational Credential Award. This is a very prestigious recognition for The Haven, as this award is earned, and not given. The Haven completed all nine credentialing badges by providing their best practices in the areas of: Leadership and Organizational Culture, Marketing and Communication, Fundraising and Resource Development, Outcomes and Evaluation, Finance and Legal, Human Resources, Advocacy and Civic Engagement, Board Governance, and Volunteer Management.
