Sober Living in Salt Lake City

Recovering alcoholics and addicts all have their own journey. Some individuals go straight from their addiction, into the rooms of AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) or NA (Narcotics Anonymous). Others have had to go into rehab in order to get help to begin the recovery process. For those where rehab is necessary, what are they to do when they leave inpatient treatment? Where do they go and what are their options? This is where the topic of Sober Living homes comes into play.

WHAT IS SOBER LIVING?

Sober Living is a term used to describe specific types of group homes that are designed to cater to the recovery of those suffering from addiction. Transitional Housing is another term used for Sober Living. The individuals that reside in Sober Living homes must follow rules as well as contribute to the house by performing chores or other tasks specified by the leaders in the home.

WHEN DOES SOMEONE GO TO A SOBER LIVING HOME?

In most cases, people transition to a Sober Living home after inpatient rehab. This is done so that the recovering addict or alcoholic can have the best chance of successful transition to living clean and sober on their own.
